At its meeting on August 23, the Session took the following action:
- Approved a recommendation from the Memorials, Bequest, and Gifts Committee that all undesignated gifts received by DPC will be used for the Bridging the Generations campaign setting aside 15% of those gifts for the mission component of the campaign. This action treats such gifts to MGB in the same way as pledges to BTG.
- Approved a lease agreement between DPC, the Presbytery of Philadelphia and Broad Street Ministry regarding the kitchen to be funded by the mission component of BTG.
- Approved the establishment of three task forces. Each task force will begin its work in September with the goal of making their report to the Session no later than May of 2011. The moderator and staff liaison for each task force are as follows:
- Mission/Vision Statement—Linda Deeter and John Willingham
- Small Groups—Nick Ferrera and Keith Crawford-Roberts
- Third Worship Service—Mary Shull and Bryant Anderson
- Approved changes in the membership rolls. Active membership as of 8/23/10 is 1,821.
